A funeral party for the forgotten heroes of musical history
The Unsung is a journey through music and spoken word from award-winning poet Genevieve Carver and her live band. It is a raucous funeral party for the forgotten heroes of musical history – exploring how music has shattered the lives of those who have loved it most.
I was approached by Genevieve to produce the CD artwork and accompanying poetry book to be sold during the tour of their live show. The book features blown up extracts from the poems and a short bio for each featured lesser-known musician who sadly passed away during the act of musical performance. The Unsung was the crowned winner of the spoken word award at the Buxton Fringe Festival 2017.
